As you may remember, Tiny, our intrepid explorer and friend to many Interns left us on the 27th January 2025. At 15 years young she led a full life and brought love and joy to many Interns who stayed with us on UmPhafa over the years.
As Tiny made such an impression on everyone who knew her, we knew she would be difficult to replace but we wanted to fill the gap she left as best as we could and give some other small bundles of joy a chance to have a new home.
We visited the local animal shelter and were fortunate enough to see these two cute black cats, a brother and sister; at just 4 months old they journeyed to UmPhafa.
Upon release they sprang out of their travelling box and immediately started to explore.
A few months on they are both doing very well and the staff have named them Zama (female) and Mouse (male) – whilst Mouse is the lovable one that wants cuddles every hour of the day and can’t get enough of just lying on you, Zama has a mischievous inquisitive personality and often climbs all over you, jumps up your legs and roots around in any bags or boxes you may have lying around.
Already they have made a big impression on our Interns and are often seen running around all over the place giving lots of hugs and cuddles!
